A superb anecdotal record of what it was like to be a doctor in late 19th Century early Chicago. The author studied at Dartmouth, then migrated to Chicago soon after the Great Fire to work at Rush College Hospital. Many anecdotes of early Chicago personalities including, E.O. Gale, Hubbard, Ryerson, Crane, etc. Excellent copy in a Mylar Dj cover, and very scarce.
